I am very sad to say that I recently had to replace my LAVA ® brand motion lamp that I've had since December of 1965. I took very good care of it but it started to become cloudy and unfortunately I did not see your instructions before I had thrown it out.
To replace it I purchased my third LAVA ® brand glitter lamp in red with clear glitter. I also have a blue lamp with yellow lava and a small blue End Ups " that came free with one we bought of the 40th anniversary lamp. I am looking forward to purchasing the black one.
I also purchased one each for all four of our kids and we have one of your night lights. We are surrounded by LAVA brand motion and glitter lamps.
As you can see I have been a long time customer and hope to never be without at least two of them. They are so very interesting! We never tire of watching them with all their amazing shapes and forms - they are a really good conversation piece. Keep up the good work!

The Best Day
It was the best day and it took place in May. My father was going shopping, when he came back he had a Lava® brand motion lamp for my mother not for me. I was jealous because I also wanted one. The next day we were going shopping he bought me one also.
Dude, its magnetic!
Look, if you have 2 magnets, place it both postitive or negative on your Lava® brand motion lamp. If there's a small bubble coming down/up go with the 2 magnets to it,it will move to the other side! ^^
Love Of LAVA !
My first LAVA ® brand motion lamp was an original 60's model. It was given to me by a friend's mom when I was 10. It had a gold base, the water was blue, and the lava was yellowish-colored. Unfortunately, it met a tragic demise...when I was 12, the bulb burned out, and I dumbly replaced it with a regular 60-watt household bulb. Then, even more dumbly, I left it on for about 2 days, far exceeding the 24 hour warning. When I returned from school, nothing was left of the lamp--it had EXPLODED all over my room, leaving everything on my dresser in a inch-thick layer of gold lava! (I hope this serves as a warning to others).
Now, more than 15 years later, I have a very mellow blue water/white lava/black base lamp, and it's sat on every desk of every job I've had in the past 4 years. My bosses always love it because it has a calming effect on everyone, and it's just so cool! I recommend that everyone bring a LAVA ® brand motion lamp to work!
Kids In The Groove
Dear Lava World International,
Enclosed please find some original artwork from some of our students with the gifts you sent as the theme. Our kids are really getting into the "groove" of the Lava Lifestyle. We use the lamps every day. Some of our parents come in and have the most serene looks on their faces as they say, "Wow, man, oh, wow, totally cool man .... etc."
Our parents and children and our staff are all really enjoying the peace and serenity that the lamps and wave machine supply. Believe me, these kids come from high stress homes and busy schedules. They need a bit of Lava Time.
Once again, we thank you from the bottom of our little lava hearts. You have a great fan club here. If at any time you want a test group for marketing, etc., we are here for ya man!

The traveling LAVA ® brand motion lamp
Hello. When I was just a kid in 1965 I remember that my grandfather bought me a Lava ® brand motion lamp and when he died of cancer in, '68 we had a garage sale and my dad wanted me to sell my lamp and I refused then when I spent the night at my friends' house, the next day when I got back home my lamp was missing then I realized my dad sold it to a guy who was living in Florida and was visiting Texas where I lived and still do. In 1999, I went with my wife to visit Miami, Florida when I came across an antique shop where I was going to buy a table that reminded me of my childhood when I looked on a shelf and saw a lamp that looked exactly like my old one I asked the shop owner if I could look at it closer and I saw crayon marks on the base of it and I new it was my old LAVA ® brand motion lamp that I had from years gone by on the bottom of it were my initials that my mom put on it when she bought it for me. I brought it back to Texas put a new lightbulb in it and it still works like a charm! I really enjoy it!
WOW
Okay one day I was shopping at a Goodwill in Milwaukee as im going down the isles I miss it. Then, somthing told me to go back and look down there again. I found it for $3.99. It was an Aristocrat LAVA ® brand motion lamp! A pink one with a black base not a scratch on it - it was still in the box and still only $3.99 that was a deal. I keep it very safe its one of my prised possessions. See - go to the Goodwill you never know what you can find and it might be a lAVA ® brand motion lamp!!
Can't live without my original LAVA ® brand motion lamps!
I love LAVA ® brand motion lamps! I have two 32 oz. Blue/yellow silver lamps, one 8 oz. yellow/blue silver,and one 20 oz. Midnight purple/yellow. When I was in 1st grade I got an aristocrat for X-mas. But it broke and I never got one until 5 grade but they weren't original LAVA ® lamps. Last year at Christmas, I bought a mini 8 oz. About two weeks ago I bought 2 32 oz. They are so much better the the other ones that I had. Then I got a midnight 2 days ago. I am so glad that the price on LAVA ® brand motion lamps has gone down so that now I can afford them. For Christmas, I would like to get the LAVA ® GRANDE yellow/blue. I really would like to see the midnights come back especially in the Grande. I would also like to see the aristocrat to come back. I really wish they would print the lava lite logo on them again too. A Sad Day
Today, my favorite red LAVA ® brand motion lamp was broken. This one has been with me for a short 17 years through good times and the bad times. It has brought me joy and it has soothed me. It has always been there as I have grown from child to adult. It has been there for my other loved ones as well. Yes, it can be replaced, but never, ever the one I bought and took overseas with me. Not the one that has moved everywhere with me. My friends mock my pain but they don't know how sad it is to lose a LAVA ® brand motion lamp.
Childhood Memories Live On
I will never forget the LAVA ® brand motion lamps my father owned. It was probably the early 1970's, but it seems like yesterday that I would stare at them each night in awe. They were downstairs in the basement on top of the television. Eventually, they disappeared, but never from my memory. Then one day I found out that they were still being manufactured by the original company. I was so delighted that I started to purchase them whenever I saw them in stores. Now both my son and daughter have one in their bedrooms, and I have put one in the basement on top of the television. I also purchased one to bring to work. We thank you for the memories
I work for a state house in a regular home setting,only larger. The men and women who live there (twelve of them) are mentally retarded, high-functioning individuals, some of whom have other mental disabilities as well. They range in age from the mid-thirties to the oldest who will turn seventy this year. We try to give them as much of the "normal" world as possible, but it falls mostly upon the caregivers to find new ways to enrich their lives. You wouldn't believe how these lights not only have a calming affect on them, but it gets them to remember about their pasts. It turned out to be a very good idea. I will be on the lookout for some LAVA ® brand motion lamps for them next. Two of the guys even asked for one for their bedrooms. It's so nice that something so simple can be so special and make some special people feel so good, thank you!

I got a lav-Alien (TM) LAVA® brand motion lamp for Christmas. It looks so cool. I think it is the best LAVA® brand motion lamp in the world. It is also the best of the Icon series. I never knew LAVA® brand motion lamps could be so cool. My friend got Seamore because she likes dolphins and whales. My brother wants Bones so bad, that he has offered to do chores until it is paid off. Please write back soon.

Floating Inside
I remember watching a LAVA ® brand motion lamp as a child. I think it was my dad's, and it was in our 'rec' room. This must have been in the later 1960's. I remember the sense of peace I had watching it. I even remember dreaming one night that I was floating in space with LAVA ® blobs floating around me. I think I must have slept really well that night and awakened refreshed. I was probably 4 to 6 years old.
My first LAVA ® brand lamp
I am 57 years old and this past thanksgiving weekend my children gave me my very first LAVA ® brand motion lamp. I was never able to have one when I was a kid in the 60's. I turn it on as soon as i get home from work everyday. it is very relaxing. I tune in my radio to the oldies station, read, and watch my lamp. it has blue lava and it sits right next to my TV. I love my lamp!
MY FIRST LAVA ® brand motion lamp

Grandma was a trendsetter
I can remember a blue-liquid Lava ® brand lamp with greenish lava sitting on my Grandma's end table back in the late '60s. When I headed off to college, in '72, one of the first things I got to spice up the dorm room was a Lava ® brand lamp with yellowish water and red lava. I've still got it, today, sitting on the living room mantle next to lots of other kitsch I've collected. I'm here, now, shopping for a "new" Lava Lamp to spruce up my office at work. Long Live Lava ® brand lamps!

well im 15 and evry time i turn mine on and i think about the history of the lava ® brand lamps it just fasinates me a lot that they are just so soothing and thanks for such a great product!
La Grande
I just got a Lava® Grande, it's almost over whelming, very, very cool! What's really wonderful about having this Grande is that I think I'm starting to recall the 60's and 70's....I think. Me, I'm going for one more Grande, blue with yellow goo! I'm finding it hard to fine a store that sells lava lamps, online the prices are all over the place, from $60.00 to $250 big ones! Enjoy, we only go around once....far out!

i just got a LAVA ® brand lamp. It has a silver base, blue liquid, and yellowish lava. its still warming up, but im going to use it to light up my room at night when im writing music. i used to use a dim lamp, but now im going to use my lava ® brand motion lamp. im so excited.
Lava Kismet
I just received my purple liquid with yellow wax lamp today. I put it in my office next to my computer so I can look at it when I need to "zone out". As I waited for it to warm up I put on some music and queued the song "Time of the Season" by The Zombies in the play list. Just when the first globules of wax started to bubble and the lamp came to life for the first time the song came on. Coincidence? I think not.
birthday mishap
My bestest friend had his 21st bday, he wanted a LAVA® lamp for his bday so I bought a Lava Grande. I fell in love with it & I couldn't send it to him. I still have it now. I feel so bad but I love my lamp so much!

i got a LAVA® brand lamp for christmas, purple fluid and pink lava with silver base, it took me a long time to get a lava lamp, it took four years to get one. now i love my parents for getting it for me. thanks for your site and my replacement bulbs. do you still make the really really tall lava lamps? thanks for everything and keep up the good work.

two lives
I have a 32oz blue and green LAVA® brand motion lamp in my room,and I'm trying to start a collection of LAVA® brand lamps cause I think they're awesome! Anyway,the other night I reached for my alarm clock and bumped my table lamp when I did so. The lamp fell against the lamp, causing the glass part to fall to floor. Man, was I scared!Thankfully it hadn't broken,but this was the second time it happened! If I start a collection of lamps, I had better be REALLY careful!!

Hi I'm Gill. Sometimes when I can't sleep at night I turn on my LAVA® brand lamp and look at it until I fall asleep. Of course I wake up to turn it off but the lava elps me fall asleep.
Artsy Lava Lamp Awesomeness

Lava Salesman
My father started selling your Lava Lamps the first year they came to the U.S. He owned an import-export business that specialized in "cool products" for the home and I remember the night he brought home our first Lava brand Lamp with red wax in clear liquid. I sat for hours watching the blobs roll off each other as they floated to the top and sank back down into the pool at the base of the lamp. Soon, we had lots of Lava brand Lamps, including a clown version for kid's bedrooms! I can honestly say that the Original Lava Lamp was an important part of my childhood.
