Everybody is a collector, but not everyone is as cool as a collector of The Original Shape of Cool. That is why we have devoted this area of the site for Lavaists - collectors of original Lava Lamps.
If you have a unique Lava Lamp or collection that you would like to share, please contact us by posting it to our site-keeping in mind that everyone cannot have the biggest. After all, there's no such thing as an insignificant Lava Lamp collection.

Dear Lava World International,
Here's a photo of about 1/2 of my collection.
In total, I have 6 Enchantress planters (models 8000 and 1200), 2 white and 2 black Aristrocrats with gold swirls, 5 Coachlites, 2 Consorts, 2 Aladdins, one JFO, one Mediterranean, 6 Carlisies, one Capri, one Princess wall hanging, one Regency, and several newer ceramic based lamps like the Beatles, Coca Cola, Cranky Clown and Jester. And more Century lamps than you thought the factory had ever built.
If your offices would be interested in selling older lamps (you mentioned there were still some Aladdins around the office) please let me know! I'm also looking for several globes that fit in the Mediterraneans or screw tops for all sizes of globes. I'm definitely scrounging for spare parts if there's any for sale. They'd be used to recon older lamps and not for profit.

Lava ® brand motion lamp collection. 52OZ
Music Box Lamp
This is a rare Music Box LAVA ® brand motion lamp, with two wind-up music boxes. Apparently, there is another variety that has only one music box. The basic design is based on the White/Gold Squiggle Aristocrat from the late 1960's or early 1970's. Both music boxes on this lamp have been restored. There is not much known about the history this design.

A good start
This is my collection so far. I started with the purple one with holes in the base and went from there. The older one in back was my parent's.

This is what my LAVA® brand lamp collection looks like. Now several years after I submitted the first picture. (and I have more that could not fit in the picture)I now have 20 32oz., 1 glitter grande, and two 52 0z. lamps. Am I crazy? Probably..
Imperial lamp
An Imperial lava ® brand motion lamp (the famous early giant lava lamp standing about 4 feet tall). It's the center piece of my collection. These lamps were made in the mid 60's. It's all original. The colors are green lava and red fluid.
